DAY2
Tuesday, October 27, 2009
Day 2 was more of the high elements stuff like abseiling, zip lining and rock-climbing. First activity was the Challenge Valley where we had to crawl through some tyres obstacles. The objective of the challenge was to test our communication, cooperation and teamwork. We were rewarded with bonus points for winning a friendly competition with our trainer. After the Challenge Valley, we sail through an obstacle that involves balancing and it was the more interesting activity.

We had some team building and we played a lot of games such as the Human Entanglement. We also played dog-and-bone. After lunch, we did high elements. It was another great experience. We were divided into two groups where one did abseiling and the other went for zip-lining. It was really scary when we had to lean back at the start of abseiling but we tried our best with our friends' encouragement. We went to scale the rock-wall right after that. A lot of us had difficulties going up to the minimum point. Naqi was the only female to actually made it to the minimum point and did the girls proud. She even thrash some of the guys. We were all cheering for her.

High elements, the next activity, was quite tough for some of us. We were all dead tired after all the activities. We were spilt into 3 groups and was given a chance to try the different obstacles. It was scary as it was a first time for many of us. In the end, all of us completed the obstacles. It was also a good team building exercise because when one person went up, the rest must support the climber. We actually learnt a lot in a day.

We had the campfire preparation after our shower. Our trainers were super great as they actually helped us in the cheers and we really appreciate them. We then had to get ready for dinner. It was a very delightful dinner.

Then it was night walk, it was not really what we expected as we actually have to be blind folded and walk through the forest. It was a good and a bad experience as we actually appreciated natural noises and silence. We also have to use our senses to move and communicate with the trainer. We also learnt to trust our friends and maintain discipline.

It was another day of fun and great learning experiences!
