Hello! Our camp has ended and tomorrow is the last time we're together as a class. I'm dejected. Why must we separate our ways and go into different classes?
Well, I have some poems/songs(remix) done by our classmates regarding this camp.
In this lifetime, there was never you, But in the next, I never knew.
In this lifetime I had a camp, I hated it so much I hadn't a lamp.
In this lifetime, I slowly loved the camp, I can't find words to rhyme to make it best.
In this lifetime Nash was known, He's the best, we were blown.
In this lifetime I sang a song, It makes me cry, I always sang along.
In this lifetime, i never knew, Tomorrow we part, tears won't be few.
In this lifetime, I wanna say, I love you so, please don't go away.
Remember our class been through this camp, we are the light, the trainers' lamp. Hold on tight, do not let go. Haix... I'll miss you so...

Without Nash and Amin, We might never understood each other. But because of them, We stayed together. They were the best of friends to me and we will always love them forever. Nash gave us hope whereas Amin was our little gorilla :D
When we were once group 8 and 9 of 2/5, we shall always be one. They were our light of hope even though it was little. I will still love and miss you no matter what.

Day 3
Wednesday, October 28, 2009
Hello everyone! Today is the third day of our camp which is also the second last day of the camp. We miss home, especially mum's food! However, I guess we will miss all the fun we had together when we reached home.
Breakfast for the day wasn't a nice one as rice tasted salty. It was not appetising which cause most of us to waste food. Next we had a Sarimbun Challenge which is something like the Amazing Race. As usual, we are being broken up into two groups. The main aim of this activity is to build team spirit between us and enable us to communicate with one another. We played several different games with our fellow friends. We had a fun time and enjoyed playing these games.
We went for our lunch after the Sarimbun Challenge. After lunch, we had a short briefing on a trip to Sungei Buloh Wetland Nature Reserve for CIP. We took a bus there and walk around the Nature Reserve. We went to the Aerie, the highest point in the wetland. The view from the Aerie was magnificent and majestic! However, a heavy downpour occurred when we're up there.
Soon, the rain stopped and we left the Aerie. We walked a distance of about 4km from Sungei Buloh Wetland Nature Reserve to our camp site. Can you imagine how long and tiring it is? And at the same time, we had to walk in the rain as it drizzles. But it real exciting and cool "walking in the rain".
Everyone was lethargic after the 4km walk. We practiced our cheers again before the camp fire begins. Soon after the cheers, we had our shower followed by dinner.
Our favorite campfire began in no time! Everyone was in high spirit. And our Guests Of Honor are Ms Ng(our principal), Ms Ng(our ex music teacher), Mr Noor(our ex chemistry teacher) and Aunty Gwen. Our class perform our cheers first. We wanna thank Trainer Amin and Nash for their hard work. The girls created a song for the trainers.
As our camp ends We remember Nash and Amin And other trainers
And as we move on Whatsoever We should thank them For their hard work
Isn't it touching and sweet? Our trainers are really kind and caring. We're sorry for the times when we made you angry.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Trainer Nash and Amin. Of course, not forgetting Mr Chan who has been with us for 2 years which would soon pass. "Thank you very nice!". We really enjoyed the time we were with you. Pardon us for all the nonsense we gave you at times. As all good thing come to an end, we bade a sad farewell to all the wonderful memories that we had.
Thank you and you guys rock!
On behalf of the class, we would like to thank all those who help out with the blog and camp! :)
DAY2
Tuesday, October 27, 2009
Day 2 was more of the high elements stuff like abseiling, zip lining and rock-climbing. First activity was the Challenge Valley where we had to crawl through some tyres obstacles. The objective of the challenge was to test our communication, cooperation and teamwork. We were rewarded with bonus points for winning a friendly competition with our trainer. After the Challenge Valley, we sail through an obstacle that involves balancing and it was the more interesting activity.
We had some team building and we played a lot of games such as the Human Entanglement. We also played dog-and-bone. After lunch, we did high elements. It was another great experience. We were divided into two groups where one did abseiling and the other went for zip-lining. It was really scary when we had to lean back at the start of abseiling but we tried our best with our friends' encouragement. We went to scale the rock-wall right after that. A lot of us had difficulties going up to the minimum point. Naqi was the only female to actually made it to the minimum point and did the girls proud. She even thrash some of the guys. We were all cheering for her.
High elements, the next activity, was quite tough for some of us. We were all dead tired after all the activities. We were spilt into 3 groups and was given a chance to try the different obstacles. It was scary as it was a first time for many of us. In the end, all of us completed the obstacles. It was also a good team building exercise because when one person went up, the rest must support the climber. We actually learnt a lot in a day.
We had the campfire preparation after our shower. Our trainers were super great as they actually helped us in the cheers and we really appreciate them. We then had to get ready for dinner. It was a very delightful dinner.
Then it was night walk, it was not really what we expected as we actually have to be blind folded and walk through the forest. It was a good and a bad experience as we actually appreciated natural noises and silence. We also have to use our senses to move and communicate with the trainer. We also learnt to trust our friends and maintain discipline.
It was another day of fun and great learning experiences!
Day 1
Monday, October 26, 2009
Hi all! Today was our first day at camp. Your must be wondering how we felt. Hmm... personally, I (Seowyen) think it is a disaster as our bus broke down along Seletar Expressway. But it became better as the day went on....
We did some team bonding before going to the camp site. We did some cheers which sounded absurd, but in the end it was quite an interesting experience! We got to know our trainers a little better, they were Trainer Amin and Trainer Nash. They are extremely hilarious and friendly.
Since we arrived at the camp site later than others, some of us did not get our space for our dormitory, and we were unhappy with the arrangement. Some girls had to share spaces with other classes but they didn't provide or leave enough space for some of us to sleep. Some guys didn't even get dormitories at all! It was ratified later and everyone got what they wanted.
We had lunch, it was edible. And definitely not the kind of food we get from our mothers every other day. I really missed and appreciate mum's cooking. Quite nutritious i should say, overall the meals are alright.
We were assigned to two groups, group 8 & 9. Group 9 had to climb over a low wall first. Some guys could individually climb over the wall themselves. However, the girls had to be pushed up by at least two helpers to be able to go over the wall. Initially, I felt that I couldn't climb the wall. When I realised that boys are going to help us, i felt even worse, I was worried that i would be too heavy for them to push me up. When I finally reached the top, I felt a sense of jubilation. I feel better knowing that I could trust my classmates and became more confident in taking up more obstacles. I learnt from this activity that no matter what, our friends will always help us out.
Next activity was Spider Web, we had to go through strings that was formed into spider webs. Our objective was to go through the webs without touching them. Group 8 went through individually while group 9 went through as a group. From this activity, I've learnt that it's important to work as a team to be able to overcome obstacles.
Next was Kayaking and we did a Water Confidence Test. After some instructions on how to kayak, we finally went out to sea! It was fun, and a few kayaks capsized but we still enjoyed it. Once we had to 'raftup' ie., hold our kayaks together and do the trust game. We have to stand up from our seats while at sea, holding hands with the person next to us. We have to trust our partner behind us to balance the boat, preventing a fall. Then we head back to shore. From that activity, I've learnt that trusting everyone around you is vital.
We did Rafting next. We had to make our own rafts. You can't imagine how fun it was! We were exhausted in building the raft but we were exhilarated and proud to see it float in the water. The water we had to float in was like MILO, very brown and murky water. You could barely see anything below.
We ate dinner after that then we took our bathe. It was a long queue just to shower. We went practice our cheers and started planning on our Campfire performance. There was a debrief then supper!
Suwai and I went to do the blogging while my friends went to sleep. Photos coming up. Enjoy :D
